The interaction between all students exemplified respect, caring and citizenship. Definitely a SHARKCESSFUL event!

SPOTLIGHT

SPOTLIGHT

PVHS drama participated in the District 2 festival this weekend and a huge congratulations goes out to Ali Mitsis, whose costume design was chosen as the District 2 technical theater representative at state thespian in March. This is the highest honor a technical piece can get.

Also, Jadde DeCastro and Savannah Mason won critics choice for their acting duet.

Reagan Kearney, who will be the choreographer for Legally Blonde, won alternate critics choice for her choreography piece.

Charlie Pennella and Oliver Carson won alternate critics choice for their musical duet.

Douglas Anderson Performing Arts School won 24 critics choice awards so it’s extremely honorable to be able to get one or two from them. So a huge congrats to our Sharks for representing the school so well.

There are two parts to the AP Seminar Summer Reading assignment; be sure to read the directions for each part carefully and complete each question for Part A and all of Part B.

Responses may be handwritten or typed. Each response for the questions in Part A should be started on a new page. The essay for Part B should also be on a separate page. The top left side of each page should state the part and question number of that page’s response. Your name should appear at the top right of each page.

2024-2025 Parking Information

Seniors for the 2024-2025 School Year will be able to turn in a completed Senior Parking Rules and Regulations form with payment beginning Monday, May 13th through Friday, May 24th in the Dean’s office during the following times:

  • Before School 8:45 AM until 9:15 AM
  • During their lunch time
  • Immediately after school

The cost is $120, payable only with SchoolPay. Forms will be available online and in the Dean’s Office. ALL Seniors that turned in an application and payment are then in a lottery to determine their parking spot in the following sequence:

  1. The Top 50 Weighted GPA are located in the front of the Blue Lot (Between the gym & football field). Spots are determined by a lottery.
  2. The next 160 spots in Blue Lot are also determined by a lottery.
  3. All Seniors that are not picked in the lottery for the Blue Lot are then assigned by a lottery for a spot in the White (the next closest lot to the school).

A senior assigned to a White Lot space may opt to switch to our Gray Lot. The Gray Lot is a longer walk, but is paved and the White Lot is gravel.

All debts (Cafeteria and Media) need to be cleared to be eligible for a parking pass.

Parking Permits will be available for pickup starting Wednesday August 7th through Friday August 9th from 9 AM – Noon.

Juniors for the 2024-2025 School Year will be eligible for the remaining parking spots available after all seniors get an opportunity to purchase and get their spots assigned. We will not accept Junior Parking Applications until the start of the new school year in August.

2024 National Honor Society Applications

Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student. Our chapter of NHS has worked hard to bring the accomplishments of outstanding students to the attention of parents, teachers, peers, and the community. Our chapter strives to give practical meaning to the Society’s standards of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These four ideals have been considered as the basis for your selection. No student is inducted simply because of a high academic average. The National Honor Society strives to recognize the total student—one who excels in all of these areas.

Acceptance Criteria:

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS April 16, 2024
