TRACK & FIELD TRYOUTS

To All Prospective Track and Field Athletes,

Tryouts will commence on the first day of practice, January 25th, at the track, at 4pm and continue thru the 27th of January. Tryouts will consist of time trials in various sprint and distance events, as well as field event trials. Prior to coming out for tryouts, you must:

  • have signed up for track and field on Home Campus
  • Been athletically cleared in Home Campus
  • Bring your own water
  • Bring a mask
  • Be ready to workout (i.e. proper workout gear to include running flats, sweats, shorts, compressions, etc)
  • Exceptions will be made for those who have tested positive and are currently sick or recovering, quarantined, or currently competing in another sport. If you are in any of these categories, you must contact Coach Guile at his email: [email protected] prior to the start of the first day of practice.

We recommend you attend conditioning workouts that will be Monday thru Thursday both this week (11-14 January) and next week (19-21 January). We will be going thru stretches, dynamic warmup, conditioning and strength training. This should provide a snapshot of what practices will entail. The above requirements also apply to conditioning.
