State Exams

 

FCLE

Student will take the computer-based Florida Civic Literacy Examination (FCLE) with their United States Government classes.

Semester 1 December 12, 2023

Semester 2 April 25, 2024

The FCLE is administered in one 160-minute session and measures the following civic literacy competencies and outcomes:

  • Understanding of the basic principles and practices of American democracy and how they are applied in our republican form of government
  • Understanding of the United States Constitution and its application
  • Knowledge of the founding documents and how they have shaped the nature and functions of our institutions of self-government
  • Understanding of landmark Supreme Court cases, landmark legislation, and landmark executive actions and their impact on law and society

  • First Administration (PM1): Aug. 24-Aug.31 2023

  • 9th grade -Jan. 18-19, 2024  
  • Third Administration (PM3): May 1– May 31, 2024 (WINDOW)

B.E.S.T Writing

Benchmark Writing 9th and 10th grade

  • 9th grade- April 4-5, 2024
  • 10th grade April 11-12, 2024

Spring EOC Exams

End of Course Exams-  

  • US History- May 16
  • 9th FAST PM3- May 2-3
  • 10th FAST PM3- May 6-7
  • Geometry- May 8-9
  • Biology- May 13-14
  • Algebra 1 – May 1

 

FAST and EOCs RETAKES

*A retake exam is only given if a student’s original score does not meet the promotional requirement for that test. Students must score a Level 3 or higher to meet promotional criteria.

 End -of Course and FAST ELA Retake Assessments will be offered during the windows of:
FALL-September 11th-October 6th
  • 10th grade FAST PM3 ELA- Sept.12th, 
  • Biology EOC- Sept.19th
  • US History EOC-Sept.19th
  • B.E.S.T Algebra 1 and Geometry EOC- Sept.19th

WINTER- November 27th-December 15th

  • 10th grade FAST ELA- Nov.30, 2023
  • Biology EOC- Dec.7, 2023
  • US History EOC- Dec.7, 2023
  • B.E.S.T Algebra 1 and Geometry Dec.7, 2023

Spring Retakes- May 6-May 24
