We hope that our Shark families are enjoying the summer recess. Administration is working hard to prepare to receive students on August 10, 2026. Here is some information that may be helpful to you.
UPCOMING EVENTS & INFO
Freshman Fest and Parent Palooza:
Freshman fest will be held on July 30, 2026, for all incoming freshmen. Students should report to the Gym at 9:00am. Freshman fest will conclude at 11:00am. Students will meet members of our Link Crew, receive their schedules, and tour the campus. Parents will meet with administration in the auditorium from 10:00am to 11:00am for a question-and-answer session. Parents and students will be reunited in the courtyard at 11:00am for some refreshments provided by our PTO.
Upperclassmen new to PVHS:
Following Freshman fest on July 30th, we will provide the opportunity for any 10th, 11th, and 12th graders NEW to PVHS to obtain their schedules and tour the campus from 11:00am-12:00pm. Students will meet in the Media Center.
Meet the Teacher:
As in years past, we will provide parents the opportunity to meet with teachers on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 9:00am-12:00pm.
Parent Town Halls:
We will be conducting Parent Town Halls as follows beginning at 6:00pm in the auditorium: 9th and 10th grade parents – August 11, 2026. 11th and 12th grade parents – August 13, 2026.
Schedules:
Final Schedules will be released on or about July 22, 2026, and will be accessible for two days. We will only be addressing mistakes with original and/or amended course requests as of May 27, 2026.
A link to submit requests for changes due to errors will be forthcoming. We will not accept requests prior to July 27, 2026.
Students assigned to an on-campus virtual lab MUST register for an online class through SJVS or FLVS for each lab assigned.
Any approved requests will be reflected in eSchool prior to the start of school.
Schedules as they appear on August 10, 2026, the first day of school, are final.
Student Parking:
Students are NOT permitted to park on campus prior to and/or during school without a parking pass for any reason, to include club meetings, athletic practices, teacher meetings, testing, etc. All students may make use of all parking areas after school is dismissed.
Parent Drop Off:
We are amending parent drop off slightly. Parents may make use of the bus loop until 8:45am. After 8:45am, parents may drop students off in front of the school near the main office.
traffic:
Traffic coming into and leaving the campus can be chaotic the first few days and early weeks of school. This tends to become more tenable as the school year progresses. Please be patient and be mindful of student crossings.
Let’s go SHARKS!
There may be many more questions regarding attending Ponte Vedra High School.
We would suggest the following: seek information on our website, view SHARKBYTES, our weekly newletter, posted on the website and sent via Parent Square and/or attend our parent town halls.
We are here to serve our Shark families. Please give faculty and staff 24-48 hours to provide a response to any inquires. If you do not hear from any particular person in a timely fashion, please feel free to reach out to the administration or principal directly.
Enjoy the weeks remaining prior to the start of school!
GO SHARKS!
