Ponte Vedra Sharks Improve to 8-0 Mid-Season Record

The Ponte Vedra boys varsity tennis team improved their record to 8-0 after a March 8/9 weekend trip to the Florida State University indoor tennis facility.  At the neutral site they secured victories over Pensacola Catholic and Fort Walton Beach.  In the weeks preceding, they racked up victories over Lake City Columbia, Nease, Stanton and Leon.  Adam Logan and Ryan Gummerman remain undefeated.The Ponte Vedra Sharks move to 4-0 on the season.

The Ponte Vedra boys tennis team remains unbeaten after posting wins over Leon High School and Stanton College Prep, against a non-decision to Creekside (due to rain).  Patrick Hawkins (line 3) won in exciting fashion splitting sets at Creekside (6-7 (7-3); 7-6 (7-3); (10-2)), while Jonathon Beck (line 1) won convincingly with a 7-5; 6-4 score.  The Sharks swept Leon, posting a 7-0 team score and then narrowly scored a win against Stanton with a 4-3 score.  Adam Logan paired with Jay Kirkley to win at one doubles against the Blue Devils, and Adam then scored his fifth victory of the season at line 4.  Adam leads all Sharks with a 5-0 record in singles and 2-0 in doubles.  Ryan Gummerman posted his second win of the season against no losses.  The highlight of the event was the line 2 match of Kaivon Minaei, who came from behind to score a 9-8 (12-10) win, deciding the winning team score.  After hosting St Augustine, the Sharks will compete in a 4-team weekend tournament at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

Ponte Vedra Boys Tennis Ups Record to 2-0 with a Victory over Fleming Island

The Shark tennis team defeated Fleming Island on Feb 14 , 7-0, dropping only two games in the entire match.  Jonathon Beck, Jay Kirkley, Kaivon Menaei, Patrick Hawkins and Adam Logan all scored dominating wins in the singles line up.  Kaivon and Patrick teamed up to win at one doubles, while the team of Matt Peters and Jorge Sardinas secured the win at two doubles.  The Sharks will travel to Creekside on February 20th.

Ponte Vedra Boys Open 2019 Season with a Win Against Bartram Trail

On Feb 12th the Ponte Vedra Sharks opened the 2019 season in a rain-delayed match with the Bartram Trail Bears. The sharks had an impressive 6-1 victory.
