DATES TO KNOW:

Senior Debt Day
May 3 – Gym – between 9:20 & 11:45 – Pay all debt related to textbooks, library books, parking, athletics, cafeteria, etc. Once debt is cleared, seniors may pick up their cap and gown and graduation tickets.
Seniors will report to Debt Day during 1st, 2nd, OR 3rd period, by alpha.
Report to class for attendance, and your teacher will send you to the gym during your assigned period:

1st –  A – G
2nd  – H – M
3rd  –  N – Z

Class dues and clearance of all other debts are required to receive 10 tickets for graduation.

SENIOR CLASS DUES: Class Dues may be paid online through SchoolPay. Dues are $25.
CAFETERIA: Please go to https://www.stjohns.k12.fl.us/food/cafeteria-refunds/ for any refunds or transfers from your students Cafeteria Account.  
ATHLETES: All athletes must be in good standing. Equipment and uniforms must be returned. All team fees must be up to date. Email [email protected] with questions.

May 3: Senior Picnic 12pm – end of day – PV Field.
Bud Beech Burgers! (veggie options) * Kona Ice Truck * Slip n Slide * Wear your college t-shirt! Pack a towel and lawn chair!

May 6 – 17: AP Exams

May 10: Seniors Official Last School Day

May 14: Graduation Rehearsal @UNF Arena, 9am Mandatory

May 17: Graduation @UNF Arena, 6pm 

GRADUATION:
Friday. May 17. 6pm. UNF Arena. Parking in Lot 18.

Doors open at 5:00pm.
All guests must have a ticket for entrance.
Up to 10 tickets per family with paid senior dues and debts cleared.
Seating in the Arena is first come, first seated. No seats are reserved.
Wheelchair and special seating is available on the floor. Handicapped parking is available behind the Arena, as well as wheelchair access into the venue.
Hearing impaired guests should sit close to the front right of the stage (facing the stage) for interpreting services.

Seniors will report directly to the Field House adjacent to the Arena by 5:30 pm. Dress should be fitting to the occasion. No flip-flops or sports shoes please. Seniors should not leave personal belongings in the Field House during the ceremony.

There are no reserved seats for guests at graduation. Please plan to arrive early in order to get through security and find seats in advance of the ceremony.

  • Seniors should arrive dressed in their cap and gown no later than 5:30 pm and report to the staging area (field house) behind the Arena.
  • The ceremony will begin on time at 6:00 pm.
  • Students should not bring valuable items to the staging area; there will be no supervision of personal items left in the staging room during the ceremony.
  • The graduation ceremony will be live-streamed on YouTube on Graduation Day! The link will be posted and emailed prior to graduation day.

UNF Graduation Ceremony Security Notification
Please anticipate the security checkpoint upon entry into the UNF Arena. All guests will proceed through a mag-gate security screening (includes clear bag-check and wanding) before gaining entrance to the ceremony. Only clear bags and clutch with shoulder strap and clutch with wrist strap are permitted per the clear bag policy. Guests with bags that do not meet the policy will not be permitted access into the Arena. No weapons of any type will be permitted. Outside food and drink is not permitted. Please have your graduation ticket in hand.

GRADUATION ATTIRE

    • The Commencement ceremony is a formal, dignified event to honor the academic achievement of our graduating seniors. Please dress accordingly in respect of this important event.
    • Young men are asked to wear slacks and dress shoes.
    • Everyone is asked to wear appropriate footwear. Flip flops, etc. are not formal attire and thus discouraged.
    • CAPS may be decorated appropriately for a formal commencement event (typically with the name of the college the student plans to attend).
    • Decorations must be FLAT and only on the top of the cap. Nothing may protrude or hang below the cap.
      Clean caps will be traded for inappropriately decorated caps.
    • Graduates may only wear CORDS and RECOGNITIONS that have been personally earned, awarded, and approved by school faculty and administration, typically honor societies and academy awards.

CAPS, GOWNS AND TICKETS WILL BE PICKED UP ON DEBT DAY, FRIDAY MAY 3.
These will not be available prior to Debt Day. If a student is unable to attend Debt Day, they will need to email a senior sponsor to coordinate a time to pick them up.
